It’s November, which can only mean one thing: time once again for our annual pilgrimage to the Land of the Headshot, which coincidentally is also an ill-conceived tagline from the Hollywood Department of Tourism. But we’re talking Call of Duty here. The place where friends become enemies, and enemies become KDR fodder in digital jungles and unguarded nuclear silos strewn across far flung lands. …

Not sure why, but here at the Trailer Park, we’re suddenly feeling like anything is possible next year. A vaccine for all. Idris Elba cast as Bond. The release of Black Widow. Maybe even this:
But that’s just our wish list.
Here are all the tangible trailer-fied reasons we’ve decided we can’t wait two months to get 2021 rolling.
Because Maverick’s Going to Be There
Oh sure, Tom Cruise getting shot into space to film a $200 million movie gets all the hype, but we’re more excited about a project that shoots us back to 1986, a year that gave us the following which, you might as well face it, is still way cool 34 years later. …

Did you know that the first known Among Us stream was actually found in 1986, archived on an abandoned Commodore 64 in a cave outside Phoenix? True story. Or is it? We can’t blame you for not trusting what anybody says anymore. Being a phony is so hot right now, in gaming and IRL. Whatever the game’s ancient 2017 origins may be, the darned thing caught fire in late summer 2020 and we haven’t looked back, or each other in the eye, since.
This week’s Trailer Park features clips from the Extended Among Us universe — and some of the crazy ways a quarantined world has taken this five-dollar game of endless deceit, gruesome murder and menial tasks, and made it their own happy place. …

Another year is almost in the books, and as we look back at the best indie gaming has had to offer in 2020, we once again celebrate the storytelling, the exceptional game design, the genre-mashups and everything else great that indie devs continue to provide year after year. The biggest difference this year has been that several of the most important indie titles had their genesis in years prior, and only now have had their finest moment. Let’s take a look what we discovered, and rediscovered this year.
Among Us (Steam, iOS…

In a few weeks, the world will change forever as we make an important choice that impacts our future. Some will do it by mail, others huddled together in lines the old fashioned way. In the end, many will be elated and a few will be bitterly disappointed. But whichever option an individual chooses, they might as well settle in. They’re going to be living with it for a good long while.
We’re talking of course about the next month’s launch of the XBOX Series X and the PS5. Yes, whether you swing towards Sony or Microsoft, November is going to be awesome. Unless of course, you’re a turkey…or someone who enjoys the peaceful transfer of power. But for gamers — nirvana. To celebrate, we’re taking a trip back to the Uncanny Valley, as we cast our gaze upon the high-def glory of the first wave of releases coming for the new uber-powerful consoles. …

Even the most cynical among us here at the Trailer Park realize that the high-quality sass we provide each and every week is the result of freedom. We are lucky enough to live in a country where we can share our opinions about Robert Pattinson-as-the-Batman and Blackpink freely, without fear of reprisal. And who makes that all happen? YOU DO, when you participate in the voting process and help keep our most important liberties safe.
So please, from everyone here at Subnation at Trailer Park, hop online and register to vote. Then hit the polls on November 3rd, and show everyone that you believe in democracy and a hopeful future for our country. …

Remember the first time you referenced a country’s “soft power” while attempting to make intelligent conversation at a party? We remember, because it was right about the time we stopped getting invited to parties.
But their loss is your gain, because today we’re talking soft power, AKA the non-financial/military influence a country puts out to the world with their culture, cuisine, entertainment and style. The country that currently reigns supreme when it comes to this global cultural influence: Korea. South Korea, to be specific.
From PSY’s multi-billion-viewed YouTube hit Gangnam Style, to Parasite’s triumphant Oscar night, it’s been Korea’s world for a while now. And because the Trailer Park is proud of its international flair, we’re going to look at some of our favorite recent clips from the movies, shows, music and games with deep ties to the country that gave us Kpop and Kimbap. …

Well, that was aggressive.
Microsoft is acquiring ZeniMax Media, parent company of Bethesda Softworks for $7.5B.
Everyone knew there was a console war brewing between Microsoft and Sony, with both releasing new systems in less than two months. But today, the tech giant from the Pacific Northwest decided to go from early skirmish mode, right into offing the Archduke of Ferdinand. It’s hard to remember such a bold move. …

So much happening in the Extended Trailer Universe this week: old friends returning to stream, new consoles to drool over, and a movie that’s much more than the sum of it’s memes. Just sit back, scroll down, and relax. Can we get you a White Claw?
Mandalorian Season Two
It’s been nine difficult months since we watched the Season One finale of The Mandalorian. Time has not flown. But our Job-like patience is paying off in biblical proportions with this little gift from Disney, and the knowledge that Season Two is right around the corner. …

The NFL is back! So is Madden! With Kaepernick! That means it’s time for a special Football Edition of Trailer Park!
You know, all those exclamation points got us thinking about a few truths:
